Heyyo!

Two posts...in two days...crazy, I know, but I really wanted to post on the last day of 2019 and the first day of 2020. More specifically I really wanted to tell yall about my word for the year and wish you a happy new year!

I really like puns and was very tempted to use "focus" or "vision" or some other word commonly associated with 20/20 but I refrained. Instead I used a word only slightly connected. My word for the year is "SEEK". Just like many of the post you have probably seen the past 24 to 48 hours, I want to FOCUS on Christ, set my SIGHTS on Him, and align with His perfect VISION. However I wanted to go a step further with my commitment by vowing to intentionally seek Him with my actions. SEEING Christ is one thing, but making a willful decision to search wholeheartedly for Him is something much greater. My biggest step towards doing this is my Bible reading. Instead of reading just to check it off like I have guiltfully been doing recently, I want to read everyday with the intention of finding something new and growing closer to Christ. I'm am once again attempting the Bible in a year plan as well as other devotions.

I encourage you, if you haven't already, to chose a word for this year. Pray that God will give you the word and the guidance to help you keep your commitment. Once you pick your word I would love to hear them, so please, feel free to comment your's below.
